Progressive political commentator Brian Tyler Cohen—a YouTuber, host of the “No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen” podcast, and MSNBC contributor—explains how American politics has turned into a dire situation, and what can be done about it, in his debut book, Shameless: Republicans’ Deliberate Dysfunction and the Battle to Preserve Democracy.

In Shameless, which includes a foreword by Rep. Jamie Raskin, Cohen offers an unflinching narrative that illuminates the realities and dangers of the ever-widening gulf between the vaunted Republican brand and their actual behavior, and the role mainstream media has played in normalizing it.

In a conversation moderated by Shaniqua McClendon, the Vice President of Politics for Crooked Media, Cohen will be joined by host of MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki” and former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki to unpack what lessons Democrats can glean from a clear-eyed view of the current state of affairs and the steps to take to rebalance our political landscape. Psaki is the author of the New York Times bestseller, Say More: Lessons from Work, the White House, and the World.
