MesorahDC Shabbat Services

Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7 [No services in July and August].

MesorahDC helps young, single professionals ages 22 to 38 experience a beautiful — and tasty— Shabbat. To usher in the Shabbat, we begin with a traditional, easy-to-follow service, based around the stirring melodies of the late Jewish composer, Shlomo Carlebach. Explanations and a running commentary accompany the service, so that even people less familiar with it feel more connected. The service is followed by a full-scale, gourmet Shabbat meal on the first Friday of the month, and a lighter dinner on the third Friday, in the social hall downstairs.

Enjoy this musical Carlebach style Shabbat service featuring inspirational songs and discussion. Cantor Larry Paul has been leading High Holiday services at Adas Israel for 25 years and we are honored to welcome him into the Sixth & I family this week.
