When Jennifer 8. Lee spoke at Sixth & I back in 2008 about her book The Fortune Cookie Chronicles, she posed this question: “Why is chow mein the chosen food of the chosen people?” The answer? Debatable.
To further embrace the love match of Jews and Chinese food beyond Christmas Day, we’re uniting the etrog and the eggroll in our Chinatown neighborhood-inspired sukkah. Enjoy Chinese dishes and drinks, and give the lulav a shake to welcome the fall season.
