BRIT Award–winning English singer-songwriter Beth Orton is best known for her "folktronica" sound, which mixes elements of folk and electronica. Orton lends her distinct and intensely expressive voice for a performance supporting the release of her first studio album in six years, Sugaring Season.
She was initially recognized for her collaborations with William Orbit and the Chemical Brothers in the mid 1990s, yet her first solo album, Superpinkymandy, was released in 1993. Her songs have been featured on several TV and movie soundtracks, including Felicity, How to Deal, Charmed, Dawson's Creek, Vanilla Sky, and Grey's Anatomy.
