Stovetop Success
Women and the Business of Food
Date: Tuesday, December 13, 2011
Time: 7:00 PM

To be successful in business, discover where passion and talent intersect with profitability. Both Sara Polon, owner of Soupergirl, and Yael Krigman, owner of Baked by Yael, have perfected that recipe for success.

Bonnie Benwick, Deputy Food and Recipe Editor of The Washington Post, will host a conversation with the two food entrepreneurs about the rewards and challenges of building a business from scratch. Sara and Yael will discuss what it’s like to own and operate a food business, as well as offer tips for women interested in a similar path.

Taste samples from both of the featured businesses over conversation about entrepreneurship, culinary do’s and don’ts, and the influence of our Jewish mothers on modern day cooking.

For women in their 20s and 30s. And for the record, we love all bubbes everywhere.

Made possible by the generosity of The Lerner Family Foundation
